the support for recurring events has no options for monthly recurrences. The current default behavior places recurrences of the event on the same day of the month in subsequent months, which is one possibility. However, there should also be an option to have the event recur on the 'first Friday', or 'First and Third Friday' or the like. Basically, the UI needs a bit more work.
