Dr Nina Pearlman is Honorary Associate Professor with UCL History of Art. She was Head of UCL Art Collections from 2008 to 2025. While at UCL Art Museum she established the Curating Equality research hub to foreground research on artistic ambition, student networks and marginalised narratives in the museum's Slade Collections, 45% of which is work by women, many under-researched. Additional areas of research include use of new technologies to increase accessibility to collections and museum experiences, and to help audiences and researchers uncover new stories in institutional collections. Between 2021 and 2024 Nina was a senior researcher with the Sloane Lab: Looking back towards future shared collections, a discovery project part of the Towards a National Collection research programme.
