Peamore House and Park are located near Shillingford St George. It was regularly painted by both Francis Towne and John White Abbott. John Nash (1752-1835) and George Stanley Repton (1786-1858), Regency architects built Peamore House. They also designed Follaton House, Totnes and Widworthy Court, near Honiton.
