Voralberg Online video portal
Lovely Systems has built a video portal for Voralberg Online, which is using ATVideo to store the videos.
Lovely Systems (host of the annual Snow Sprint in Austria) has just launched a Plone-based video portal (the YouTube of German speaking countries) for Voralberg Online, a large newspaper in Austria.
The video.vol.at site is using ATVideo with some enhancements for the transcoding of the videos. You can see their work on the ATVideo bittorrent branch. We expect that this branch will be merged back to trunk, so that others can benefits from the work that they've done.
A technical explanation for how the transcoding works is here.
The video player that is used on the video.vol.at site was also developed by Lovely Systems and has been released as an open source Flash-based media player that plays FLV videos and MP3s. It is also the video player that is used in the ATVideo bittorrent branch.
