The University of Louisville Plone-based CMS includes the ability to play, stream, download, and podcast video, audio, and music in multiple formats.
Kurt Bendl, Web Team Lead in Information Technology at the University of Louisville says:
"We're using some cool technology from IBM called SAN/FS. It let's us store all the data in a single repository and FibreChannel mount the content to multiple machines and OSs. So, we'll have a Quicktime server, Real, WindowsMedia, and Flash server all pulling from the same file store. We're by-passing Plone for download/podcasting, and getting Apache to handle the delivery directly from storage."
