EngageMedia launches video sharing site
EngageMedia is a website for video about social justice and environmental issues in Australia, Southeast Asia and the Pacific.
EngageMedia has just launched their video sharing site where one can upload videos, assign creative commons licenses, download videos via Bittorrent and subscribe to vodcast feeds.
The Engagemedia site is using ATVideo with some enhancements for the Bittorrent support. You can see their work on the ATVideo engagemedia branch. We expect that this branch and the bittorrent branch will be merged back to trunk, so that others can benefits from the work that they've done.
They also have a really great page about digital video formats and encoding.
EngageMedia has been very active in the Plone community and sent Andy Nicholsan to the Snow Sprint last spring and Anne Helme to the Big Apple Sprint this summer.
Congrats to the EngageMedia team and thanks for all your fine work thus far! Looking forward to see you guys in Australia in December!
